On April 29, 2019, the City Council determined that MCBP permittee and applicants that were denied a MCBP on April 8 or April 22, 2019 may apply for a dispensary use MCBP in May 2019. Persons interested in applying for a dispensary use MCBP must comply with Resolution No. 19-33, adopted April 29, 2019. A copy of that Resolution is available upon request and may be downloaded from the City’s website at www.bellfower.org.
Applicants for a dispensary use MCBP will be received only on Monday, May 13, 2019 not later than 2:00 p.m.
An application is complete if it includes all information identified on the application submittal checklist here. Seven copies of the complete application must be submitted along with a USB drive containing electronic copies of ALL SECTIONS of the application appropriately labeled. No incomplete or late applications will be accepted. NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL.
Each renewal application will be reviewed and renewal of the MCBP will be determined by the City Manager.
Note that issuing any MCBP (just like all other MCBPs) is completely discretionary (see BMC § 14.08.045; Resolution Nos. 17-44, 17-65, and 18-05); nothing requires the City Council to issue a MCBP and nothing guarantees that any particular applicant will receive a MCBP renewal.
